| 1 | Restaurant complex "Goodman steak house" and "Fish house yankel&Filimonova"The restaurant complex "Goodman Steak House" and "Fish House Yankel and Filimonova" as a part of SRC «Evropeysky» located at: Moscow, Kiev station sq., bld.2.
Space-planning decisions. The premises intended for placement of the restaurant complex «Goodman Steak House» and «Fish House Yankel and Filimonova», are located in the territory of SRC "Evropeysky" at the elevation of +10,250 m in 1 - 6/А - D axes. It is proposed to place in the assigned territory two restaurants with complete-cycle food preparation technology. The space-planning decisions of the restaurants proceed from the totalitarian planning of the SRC and arrangement of vertical communications. All premises of industrial, utility-industrial and administrative purpose are densely arranged around communication kernels so that visitors service zones are as much as possible focused on internal and external facades. Such planning allows to place all necessary technological processes according to the Building Code requirements. The main feature of the site intended for placement of the restaurants is that practically in the centre of the premise there is evacuation stairs meant for evacuation of all SRC visitors due to which the premise capacity is dissected by the corridor (axes 3 - 4/А-G). The whole area between the corridor and the glazing stained-glass window has the configuration practically unsuitable for placement in it of the restaurant’s dining hall and therefore exactly in this area it is planned to place the whole industrial estate of the restaurant «Fish House Yankel and Filimonova». The premises of utility-industrial purpose adjoin directly to the stained-glass window. The whole surface of the given premises along the stained-glass window is protected with blinds against direct sunbeams. The main entrance to the restaurant «Fish House Yankel and Filimonova» will be formed from the dead-ended part of the evacuation corridor (axis 3-B). The restaurant dining hall is densely situated in the single area and seating zones are formed by certain placement of furniture groups. The hall arrangement provides for two its sides facing fully glazed front facades of the building. Such arrangement of the dining hall allows to provide visual link of the interior space with the environment, visually to extend the restaurant boundaries. The main entrance to the restaurant «Goodman Steak House» will be formed directly from the recreation of SRC "Evropeysky".
Industrial estate premises are situated on two sides of the bank of elevators and in the least lighted section of the premise which is inside it. The restaurant dining zone is divided into two halls. The hall № 1 is located in the premise section directed to the interior space of SRC "Evropeysky". This accounts for the visual link between the restaurant space and shopping area of the SRC. The hall № 2 is located inside the premise and faces the front facade of the building. Within the limits of the project it is planned to place 374 seats and all necessary premises of industrial, utility-industrial and engineering-technical purpose in the restaurant complex. The planning decisions of the restaurant complex provide for the engineering process route, exclude counter streams of raw products, semi-finished products and finished products, and also exclude crossing of ways of visitors and the personnel. The floor height in the dining hall area - 4,1 m from floor to ceiling. The height of the industrial premises is not less than 3,0 m. Architectural-decorative decisions. The general stylistics of the complex interiors are solved within the limits of the style working-out for «Goodman Steak House both» and «Fish House Yankel and Filimonova» restaurant chain and are based on their concept. «Goodman Steak House» is a restaurant with a quiet classical interior. The basis of its composition is the balanced combination of decorative components and furniture groups. The restaurant decoration includes classic style elements such as fielded panels, cornices, footstall. The primary materials are oak toned as dark redwood, dark leather of the furniture and copper of candelabra and furnishing. In the restaurant there is used very restrained colour scale, delicate candlelight; the lamps light only the table area, the other space remains in twilight. All this allows to create severe but comfortable interior in full accord with the concept of «Goodman Steak House» restaurants. «Fish House Yankel and Filimonova» has the same decorative components as «Goodman Steak House» but on the basis of another colour scale. The wood in this restaurant is light yellow and toned as beech due to which the general feeling of the restaurant is light and joyful. The stained-glass window of semicircular form throughout the length of two sides of the restaurant opens the internal space outward due to which the restaurant is full of light and it seems has no boundaries which evokes sensation of the Atlantic coast. These reminiscences are supported both by the floor pattern and decorative wooden «bulkheads» which cover the structural aluminum of the stained-glass window. | 2 | Reconstruction of the cinema centre «Sovremennik»Reconstruction of the cinema centre «Sovremennik» located at: Moscow region, the town of Electrostal, Tevosyan street, bld. 26
The cinema building which was subject to reconstruction, is situated in the town of Electrostal, Moscow region, Tevosyan street, bld. 26а. The cinema is erected under the standard project worked out by the Mosgrazhdanproject branch, intended for erection of cinema centres in Moscow region. The cinema building is two-storey, with the built-in single-storey capacity of the cinema hall. The building has a cellar. The framework is constructed from reinforced prefabricated structures. The height of the framework superstructure is 8,36 m, substructure - 2,08 m. The column grid is 3 х 6 m and 18 х 6 m. The floor and roof slabs are hollow-core ready-made, ribbed and flat reinforced concrete slabs. The outer shell is constructed from self-supporting wall gas and silicate panels. The roofing is combined, membrane. The building was constructed in 1972. Subsequent to the results of the surveying of the cinema structures, carried out by the Kucherenko Central Research Institute for Structural Construction, there was made a conclusion that the building is fit for subsequent service or reconstruction. Within the limits of the cinema reconstruction the package of services rendered to visitors was extended by inclusion in the object structure of businesses accompanying the screening (such, as public catering, game machines, etc.). Herewith, the existing area of the cinema allowed to place all necessary additional premises inside the building keeping within the framework of its capacity. Taking into consideration current trends in the movie screening, the existing flow scheme of the cinema underwent reconstruction as well. Instead of one large hall with the capacity of 584 seats and a small hall with the capacity of 69 seats with two projection rooms there were rebuilt 3 halls (with the capacity of 159, 156 and 70 seats) with one common projection room. Thus, the reconstruction project provided for the following zoning: public catering zone; screening zone; entertainment complex zone (slot machines casino, children's game machines); zone of administrative-and-household, utility-industrial and engineering-technical purpose. The whole composition of the building is frontally oriented in the space of the square in front of the front facade which dictates precise sequence of zoning from the building’s front to its deep. The reconstruction project proposed such volume-spatial organization at which the premises intended for visitors servicing - public catering establishments, lobby and entrance hall, slot machines casino – face directly its front facade. This frontally located zone is lighted throughout the length and height of the facade. The zone of administrative-and-household, utility-industrial and engineering-technical purpose gives on the rear facade and is projected in such a way that loading and cargo movement inside the building do not cross the visitors streams. On the ground floor of the building there are a cinema entrance hall with the cashier hall and sanitary conveniences for the cinema visitors, a "fast food" cafe (approximately with 50 seats) and the cafe’s premises of industrial, utility and sanitary purpose, slot machine casino with 17 game seats. Each facility has both a separate exit to outside and an exit directly to the cinema entrance hall, and can function independently. Besides, on the ground floor there are utility premises of the sport bar which is located on the first floor of the building. The products loading to the sport bar is carried out through a loading gate in the flank front and then by means of an elevator is lifted to the first floor.
For the purpose of optimum utilization of the spaces downgrade the floor of the cinema halls seats on the ground floor there are projected the premises of utility-industrial and administrative purpose: cash desks, cloak room for visitors, personnel facilities, etc. Three cinema halls are organized inside the space of the existing cinema hall. Two cinema halls (with 156 and 159 seats) have plan dimensions in axes 10,7 х 18,0 m. The dimensions of the small hall - 9,0 х 12,0 m. Entry to the cinema halls is carried out from the main lobby at the elevation of +4,200 m, exit – at the elevation of + 0,900 m directly to the outside. Technological service premises of the projection complex are situated inside the spaces of the cinema halls in the form of a gallery. The main lobby of the cinema is situated on the first floor and its lengthway side overlooks the front fully glazed façade of the building, thus there is achieved visual link between the external and internal space. In the lobby there is a drinking bar, a cinema bar with tables. Children's game machines are allocated in a separate zone. Administrative premises of the cinema are allocated in a separate block on the first floor. For the purpose of enhancement of energy efficiency of the building, all its enclosing structures: fence panels, the stained-glass window of the front facade, roof covering – were subject to reconstruction. Translucent constructions with glazing and the roof were fully replaced; the outer walls were faced with facing metal panels. Artistic expressiveness of the building is provided by the colour scheme, combination of the building’s volumes, texture of the applied finishing materials and glazing, plasticity of the facades. The general composition provides for man scale indicators, including: doors, canopy tops, stairs, window apertures, decorative components and is meant both for direct perception of the object nearby and perception from afar. The volume-spatial composition of the building represents the space performed in severe geometric patterns with emphasis on the entry elements. The colour composition of the building provides for allocation of entry elements and colour detection of the canopy top’s volumes and the building’s interior volume by means of contrasting colour scale. The volume-spatial composition of the building is based on the ordered organization of the circulation and freight traffic as well as on comfortable natural lighting of the space. Basic technical and economic indexes. The total area of the building prior to reconstruction ≈ 1 800 m2. The total area of the building after reconstruction - 2 719,1 m2, including: the total area of the cellar - 626,5 m2; the total area of the ground floor - 853,0 m2; the total area of the first floor - 1150,8 m2; the total area of entresol of the first floor - 88,8 m2. The build-up area - 1288,80 m2. The total structural volume - 14 249,8 m3, including: substructure - 2 032,8 m3; superstructure - 12 217,0 m3. Space-planning decisions. Architectural-artistic decisions. This decision allowed to create a bright rhythmic composition which appeared the basic style-determining interior element. Rhythmicity of the composition is supported by repetitive accessory elements of the interior - Г-shaped decorative wall piers from stainless steel, illuminated by contrast cold neon light, the brick-shaped markings hanged from the ceiling and made from tinted, almost black glass, and framing of cash desks of the multiplex and the bar. The lobby’s floor is made from polished ceramic granite and the whole range of the elements is reflected in it thus forming a closed luminous contour, but herewith visually expanding the space boundaries. The whole composition of the interior represents very tough, well-defined structure designed to orient the visitor in the multiplex space. Interiors of the cinema halls are performed proceeding from acoustics requirements. Within the framework of the cinema halls decision there are applied 2 basic decisions of the walls plasticity, and the variety is provided by colour scheme of the walls, armchairs, decorative lighting set and the steps illumination. The «Leisure» block which comprises the 5th hall, a cinema bar, video store and a zone of children's game machines, represents the two-storey space of intricate shape. The basis of its composition is the stairs to the first floor, dissecting this space. On each side of the stairs there are evenly stretched, just like wings, decorative stainless steel piers illuminated by neon as in the main lobby, and a column in the video store is also cased in bend glass and illuminated. These techniques stylistically support the theme already applied in the main lobby of the multiplex. Use of the same materials (stainless steel, sagged or tinted glass, neon illumination) and techniques allow to unite the multiplex spaces of various form and purpose into uniform architectural-artistic composition. | 4 | «Pobeda» entertainment complex
On September, 6th, 2002 (by the city’s 30th anniversary) there was an opening of the largest in the Polar region entertainment complex "Pobeda" in Nadym. The project was developed and realised by the Bellstone Construction Co. Ltd company known by its investment activity in Yamalo-Nenets national district. A little bit of history Thanks to capital investments in the gas industry of the area and city, the infrastructure was organized, new educational institutions and hospitals were constructed. Investment in the population entertainment was not that good. There was only one cinema with the name of "Pobeda" in the city which, unfortunately, during post-perestroika years had been dilapidated. Roman Sigitov, the "Pobeda" project manager, says: "Townsmen earn a good wage today, but there are no places to go with the family to have a rest and a good time in the city. The old "Pobeda" cinema, once the first large-format cinema in the Tyumen area, did not correspond to the increased life standards of the majority of gasmen any more. Therefore, the Bellstone Construction Co. Ltd company management decided to carry out reconstruction of the cinema and to create the modern comfortable entertainment centre up to the world standards." "Pobeda" Entertainment complex: leisure components Currently, the complex (3 000 sq.m) occupies three storeys of a beautiful modern building where there is: a cinema and concert hall for 438 seats, a big disco (disco-club), a restaurant, a coffee house, an Internet cafe, a billiard room, a sports bar where sports competitions go on the air. The cinema and concert hall are equiped with the recent in the sphere of light and sound design gadgets, upholstered furniture favourable for rest. The best movies of the world cinema are shown in the hall; concerts of Russian variety performers who come to Nadym on tour, and also local holiday activities (for example, in September there waws a traditional holiday "Initiation into students") are held here. Children's morning performances are arranged in the complex spacious and light foyer on weekends. The coffee house where it smells delicious of fresh bakery products enjoys wide popularity on weekends. After all, there are no such other places in the city. The sports bar does not stand empty as well – one can always watch fascinating sports matches here, and also to play the American pool or Russian pyramid (* type of billiards). And big players, who are ready to derive enjoyment from the game for long hours, will readily resort to the bar or restaurant cuisine services.
How problems with software (SW) of the complex were solved. Mr. Sigitov says: "The management decided to use R-Keeper software product (SP) of the UCS company, which is a multipurpose system including the SP family (automation of restaurant business, cinema business) from the components of which we could construct the system meeting our specific needs with regard to versatility of our complex. For realisation of management and accounts department analytical work we decided to add a specialised accounting module to the SP which by its functionality would be "complex" enough and also could be well «connected» with the R-Keeper front-office SW module. As it is known, book keeping is one of the major instruments in hands of the head and financial director of an enterprise. It reflects diverse elements of enterprise business processes in various operative and accounting reports, inquiries in one information field. For business success, accounting should be automated. After careful research of software market which provides accounting automation, we decided in favour of "1S: Predpriyatie 7.7." programme. Having chosen the "1S: Predpriyatie 7.7." accounting component we came in contact with the "ASTOR VC" company SP of which - "ASTOR: Restaurant" (specialised for the platform of "1S: Predpriyatie 7.7") - allows to unite three components in the uniform enterprise accounting system. These are the front-office - system of automation, accounting and analysis of public catering sales (R-Keeper programme); back-office - "ASTOR: Restaurant 2.0" configuration proper responsible for full automation and in different sections of commodity stock bookkeeping, internal transmission of goods between bars, control of mutual settlements with suppliers and buyers, outgoing inventory, calculation and net cost of dishes; and the third one, the main accounting element - "1S: Predpriyatie 7.7." programme which "downloads" data from "ASTOR: Restaurant 2.0" on goods transmission, sales, net cost, for preparation of accounting balance. Vast client of the "ASTOR VC" company testified to its high rating in the software products market."
Thus, installation of front-office R-Keeper and "ASTOR: Restaurant" as a stock bookkeeping programme, internal transmission, calculation and net cost, was the final decision on automation. The task complexity was also that new SW was necessary to be introduced in already operating enterprise (R-Keeper programme had already been involved). Introduction was carried out in two stages:
Mr. Sigitov says: "Currently, our SW both modules well co-operate. Work of each of them is carried out independently, information interchange in a normal client-server mode" is only supported. Elena Zajtseva Publication on http://www.technoshop.ru/papers/2002/12/849.html |

Why is the building of the former cinema going to be pulled down and what will be constructed in its place?
There are a lot of rumours about the old building of the cinema "Russia": «What will happen to it? Why is it going to be pulled down?» We also could not but paid attention to these questions. Here we’ve got the projects on the table: the building is going to be beautiful, well equipped and, for sure, will please everybody. And until then we all will keep peeping in the yard of the former cinema: «Have they already pulled it down? Have started? Got moving?» Indeed, there are a lot of questions. To get answers we addressed to the chief architect of Uglich Aleksandr Sychev. He explained the situation and told about the plans in detail. - Why is the old building pulled down rather than restored?
- What is planned to be made in this building?
-What are the terms of the centre commissioning?
-Who are the customer and the executor of the given project?
- What can you say about accessibility of the given centre in the future?
- The new building, the new centre – what will happen to the name?
- How many seats the cinema is designed for?
